Dear Cultivators,

After the closing days of 2017 (and now in the lengthening ones of 2018!) it's so refreshing to see the rise of so many people-powered responses to challenges like affordable housing, inequality, clean energy, food security, waste reduction and climate change. Though we have a lot to do yet. Have a look at what we are planning for 2018 and in the spirit of collaboration get in touch if you have any ideas for getting involved:

In this Update:

 Feeding Ourlseves and SpeakEATsy

Feeding Ourselves 18

Rural revitalisation through a community approach to farming and food.

Feeding Ourselves Conference: 3rd - 4th March - St. Kierans Hall, Main Street Cloughjordan, Tipperary

The annual coming together of small farmers, community food advocates and anyone with an interest in community supported agriculture, soil biology, agroecology, citizen science, social farming and rural livelihoods. We will celebrate the soil beneath our feet, the food it provides for our communities, and the agroecological farmers and growers who work the land!

A convivial evening SpeakEATsy: Saturday 3rd March, 19.30 till late. WeCreate Workspace, Cloughjordan Ecovillage, Tipperary

SpeakEATsy is an experience - a happening - the core components are food; art; spoken word poetry; live musicians; a facilitated conversation with notable thinkers, writers or activists; and leading edge DJs to finish.
But it is so much more than the sum of its parts. Food, conversation and music are great ways to bring people together - SpeakEATsy emerged from a novel take on these simple ingredients and the desire to cultivate community.

Save the dates, booking will be available soon on cultivate.ie. To express interest in the meantime email oliver@cultivate.ie or davie@cultivate.ie /call on 0505 56061
